It is during the summer season when the heat of the sun is at its strongest. The heat, along with the elements from the environment, as well as humidity in some areas, can cause damage to the skin. Along with the summer season is a wide number of conditions that the skin becomes prone to. Sunburn isn’t only the problem that summer season brings. In dry summers, the skin can dehydrate, chafe and peel. In humid summers, the skin can become sweaty and oily. Thus, you may need something more than the usual SPF moisturizer.

The summer season is the time for baring and tanning bodies. A lot of people are still bent over getting tans, even if the completely know that the sun (and tanning devices, as well) can pose plenty of skin problems. Excessive exposure to the sun can burn the skin, and cause early aging. It is also the number one cause for melanoma, as well as hyper pigmentation, which comes in the form of liver spots or age spots.

The Most Important Point…

Well, if you plan to go out and have fun underneath the sun, make sure that you apply sunscreen moisturizer. Don’t forget to include your body by slathering on sunblock at least fifteen minutes before going out from the shade.

Hot and arid places make summers even worse. Aside from the sweltering heat and the burning sun, the dry air can dehydrate the skin. Thus, it is essential to use a moisturizer with SPF all the time. Drink water always so as to avoid dehydration.

You can also pop in some moisturizing gel inside the fridge, and apply it on your face during really hot days. The cold sensation can be a treat to the skin. At night, use a creamy cleanser and a thick moisturizer to help replenish lost moisture during the day.

In places that are hot and humid, however, what your skin may experience may be an entirely opposite thing. The humid air and the sun’s heat can cause excessive sweating and oil production. Acne may also come up as a problem. Try to use cleansers and moisturizers for oily skin care. There are oil-free moisturizers that easily glide on the skin. These moisturizers do not clog the pores and are perfect for those who have oily skin. There are also SPF moisturizers that are oil based.

You may find it difficult to put make up on and retain a matte skin in the sweltering heat. If you plan to use make up, then priming the skin up with a heavy moisturizer SPF is a complete no – no. Use a moisturizer that’s as light as possible. Wait until it has all been absorbed by the skin, and then put on make up.

Liquid or mousse make – up last better on the skin during warm weather. Instead of using foundation, you can also use a tinted moisturizer with SPF. To keep the skin matte, use blotting film throughout the whole day.

Keep your skin fresh, moisturized and oil free during the sunny summer with these SPF moisturizer tips!
